Lambda Epsilon Sigma is Stonehill's Honor Society. The purpose of the society is to recognize and promote scholarship. Juniors and seniors who have attained a 3.5 cumulative grade point average are invited to apply for consideration. Acceptance into the society is based on evidence of academic achievement, of a pursuit of learning that extends beyond the classroom environment and of an ability to communicate effectively through writing.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2014 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. The following local students have achieved this honor:

Students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester at Clarkson University.

Students are being recognized for their outstanding achievement at SUNY Canton during the fall 2014 semester. "On behalf of the entire SUNY Canton community, I'd like to congratulate each of you on your academic success this semester," said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. "We applaud the hard work and perseverance you've demonstrated to attain this special recognition." To receive Dean's List Honors, students must full-time students must earn at least a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

More than 200 students conducted academic research in a wide-range of disciplines during the summer of 2014.

Students were recently recognized for their outstanding achievement at SUNY Canton during the spring 2014 semester. To receive Dean's List honors, full-time students must earn at least a 3.25 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Assumption College's 97th Commencement ceremony was held on May 17 on the campus's H.L. Rocheleau Field, where 463 Bachelor of Arts degrees; 217 graduate studies degrees (Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration) and certificates; and 35 Continuing and Career Education degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and associates) were awarded.

Members of the Colgate University Class of 2014 received their diplomas May 19. CNN's Gloria Borger '74 delivered the commencement keynote. A total of 750 students graduated during Colgate's 193rd commencement ceremony.

A total of 50 Stonehill College students will work with 25 faculty members on a variety of research projects this summer through the Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program. The program provides students with an opportunity to perform significant, publishable research under the guidance of an experienced faculty researcher.

St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, welcomes the following students as members of the class of 2016.
